That's quite interesting...I wouldn't mind anime so much..just as long as it was done by the best..and didn't have subtitles..they really annoy me..

I don't really want it to be real..hence my reasoning for not wanting a film at all..

again while i want a movie and at the same time dont, i just personally dont really like animation that much. I think it definetly wouldnt be as popular if it did become a movie and it get put on the back-burner

This is going to sound terrible; but I wouldn't want it to be a huge film like LOTR or similar; the books would not be appreciated if it was. People would go around claiming that they had read the books etc even if they hadn't..:o

Personally, I didn't really like how the Howl's Moving Castle people looked (from the previews), so whenever I think of animated realistic-ish movies I think of that........a different style maybe, but I still say no movie.

I'm not totally against animated movies, but I feel that a movie would do the books more justice if it was made with real people. Its kinda like animated movies are a more modern thing, and often are better for illustrating futuristic or sci-fi stuff, like things that are outside of reality. With live actors playing the characters parts, I think it would make it easier to relate to, or more
in-the-moment, and plus it may enhance the long-time-ago atmosphere
(with swords and horses and breathtaking landscapes and cities without electricity.)

Really? I think it's just as easy to portray that "long-ago" aspect in an anime movie... But whether it would be good or not all depends on who is making the movie, etc.

hmmm, animated could be interesting if, as several people already said, it was done well. i think that a movie with real actors would look to LotRish, and no one would see it because they'd think it was just a copy... but i do prefer live actors to animation.

hehe, i wonder what a computer animated movie would look like?! that would be really weird, but i guess the special effects would look great! i just couldn't really imagine a computerized maerad... and how would they possibly capture cadvan's hotness?:D

NO MOVIE NO MOVIE!:p
