Well tecnically the thread is called "movies- should they be animated?" so talking about good and bad actors is off topic.

No way would I want the books to be made into a movie. Okay, just to express myself clearly, here is ONE of the MANY examples that is written in the book, that is impossible to act on the screen, even if we had the mosted talented actors and actresses and directors on the set, yodee.

In the Riddle, on page410,
the last paragraph, Maerad has just been hurt by the Winterking, on the insides, and it says:

The Winterking stepped down from the dais and walked towards her, and then bent down and took her chin in her hand.

This bit will be quite easy to act out, but what about the next bit???

His hand was cold as ice, and its strength inexorable, but his touch was gentle. Maerad looked up into his eyes and instantly forgot everything in a rush of desire. She blinked with humiliation, seeing a flash of triumph in Arkan's eyes, and tried to hide her face.

I'm sorry, but how on erath will you be able to act that out on the screen????

A talented actor or actress could convey it. One doesn't need words to portray everything. Say the actor playing A cups M's chin while chill music plays. She would not necessarily flinch, but perhaps alter her breathing as she looked into her eyes. If she focuses, she can convey that rush of desire...A can smirk in triumph, only slightly, and M can blink. It's that simple.

This, though true and interesting, is off topic.

Say guys should we ask one of the mods to combiened this thread with "Should there be a movie at all?" That way we clear up space and we wouldn't be off topic.

good idea.

i personally dont think there should be a movie because all the emotions and feelings may not be picked up properly.

and sirkana- you can be a real stick in the mud with sidetracks that would end very soon anyway, but also are related.

despite this i still voted for 'with actors and actresses' it would come through the best i think.
