I think that yes, Saliman will possibly die (this is a guess here...) and that will probably be the event that makes Hem, Irc and the other girl in "The Crow" (I forgot here name... you know, the new girl) go find Maerad and Cadvan.

I also think that Irc will help Hem get in touch with his elemental powers
