I really liked Magician a lot. I'd heard some people tell me that Silverthorn and aDaS were better so was looking forward to those. But neither of those was interesting to me. I just tried to get through them so I could get it over with. What do the rest of you think of Silverthorn and aDaS in comparison with Magician?

Magican is my favourite, I still enjoyed the other two

Darkness at Sethanon has one of my favourite scences in fantasy

the second part of Magician is my favorite followed by A Darkness at Sethanon, Magician: First Part and Silverthorn in that order.

On the whole i liked Magician better, but the end annoys me so much, accension to the throne bla bla bla bla... The ending to aDaS was better, and I like what the 'enemy' is it ties in well with the whole saga. So in the 'true' riftwar saga I believe that magician and aDaS rank no.1 with Silverthorn being second.

They were still enjoyable, but not on the same level as Magician. Of the two, I preferred A Darkness at Sethanon to Silverthorn, but both seemed much more your average fantasy fare than Magician. But above all of these I preferred the Empire series.

i think that magician is a bit strange, its quite a large book, yet it is not repetitive or drags on, whereas some do, e.g. Ash: A lost History

I agree with most of you, I found my self just trying to get through Silverthorn to get to aDaS. but having said that I still enjoyed it.
I got given Magician to read buy a friend that has the whole feist collection, I read magician, silverthorn and then sethanon in about 3 weeks one after another, and couldnt put them down.

and at the moment the serpent war is keeping me up at nights (cant put the book down)
