well i first discovered the gift in late 2004 in my local library...read the first 2 chapters there and then, took the book home at 5ish, and had finished it by 8 on the dot :D .all i thought was- wOw!I've never really read that many books (3 to date) where afterwards, i actually looked it up on the tinternet... and those were Darren Shan's sagas and Philip Pullmans Dark Materials.And possibly Alison Croggon's works of literary genius! :D :D

i bought it thinking it would be one of those fantasy books that was only moderate and wouldn't be anything special. I was wrong, I admit. By the time the Riddle came out I thought I would die from surpressed excitment :)

i found the book while i was on vacation in Dubaii. i was in a book store, and i think it had just come out. it was a table anyway. after i read the back, i fell in love with it, and still am. hehe :D
