Starlily, just as a matter of curiosity - which edition was it that you bought? UK, US or Australian? (And I'm so excited I actually made it into an airport bookshop...)
i don't know which edition it is. i think UK. its cover is sort of redish purpulish and it has Maerad's brooch on it. same layout as the riddle. map in backround too. :D

I was just looking for something to read (my weekly occupation) in Borders when I saw the Gift. I think it must have been facing me and it grabbed my attention (I love SF novels and it def looked like one with the green and a caped mysterious figure...) and I gave it a try! It was love at first chapter <3... :D

I waited for so long for the Riddle to come out and I was so excited to see it on the bookshelves! And now I can't wait for the Crow to come...

I was in the library DESPERATE for new books, when I saw The Naming, when I saw that it was part of a series, I partly dismissed it, the summary sounded kind of iffy, but like I said I was desperate....turned out I made a good choice! I'm SO happy I didn't put the book back down! *bows down in gratitude*

And of course, after reading The Naming, I bought the Riddle from the UK, and so now I'm going to be a Pellinor fan forever! YAY for books and Alison!

My mum borrowed the Gift from the library back in September (i think) 2004 and she really liked it and persuaded me to read it and i loved it from the first few pages then i nagged her into phoning the publishers to find out about the next book in the series.i got the riddle when it first came out(ordered it)
and can't wait until the Crow comes out!!!

Once upon a time, I saw the gift on the shelf in my school library in the SF section. I read the blurb and it sounded intresting and then i couldn't put it down!!!I even got told off for reading it in class!

After that i tried to buy the Riddle but it was NOWHERE!! so i panicked and asked my mum to order it but she dusn't like shopping online...Sooo i gave up.
But then i found it on the new books section in the library and i actually shreaked(softly), much to my embarrasment :o i actually found this site by accident when i was surfing the net.

And thats the story of how I became a Pellinor Fan, thank you for listening :D :D :D

My English teacher (aka god teacher decended from the heavens above) picked out a collection of books for us to read and keep reading journals of. She described each one breifly, and one of them was the Naming, and what got me was "a strong female heroine and vivid landscapes". By Innail I couldn't put it down :D :p

and then when I was halfway through I emailed Alison :D :p or should I say "bothered" :D :D :D

and I went out to Chapters to get my own copy, it was the LAST ONE skfhdjsvkbdvdbsvb I was so happy :D

I found 'The Gift' in the library when I was hunting around as I do  . Took one look at the blurb, read the bit about M & C, knew they were going to get together, took it out and read it!

It was the bit in Norloch that totally made me a fan - the whole trial scene with Enkir/Milana/Maerad and the Cadvan/Maerad confession had me hooked! I stayed up reading it til one am!

And then I found the Riddle in my bookshop, bought it straight away and here I am WAITING DESPERATELY FOR BOOKS 3 AND 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
