About a year ago I was in WHSmiths trying to find a Spanish dictionary, and that was when i saw 'The Gift' on the shelf, next to the dictionaries. The cover was really interesting so I read the blurb, and was imediately intrigued, so I bought it. I finished the book alost instantly. Then when I was in borders I saw 'The Riddle' and bought it.

i found the gift when i was in waterstones and i triped over a badly placed (dropped) childrens book, and fell into the display on which the gift was placed (fate).

defiantly sounds like fate! I was just browsing the book store, vromans, because i had finished all of my other books. I remember the thick green binding of the book which i pulled out of the shelf and fell in love with the cover..i read the blurb and that sealed the deal!:D

A novel by Paige

Well, one day, I went to Barnes & Noble (bookstore). I looked through the books and saw the Naming (the gift). I read the first few pages and sat down in the middle of the isle. After I read it, I got up and looked for the sequels until some worker guy there asked me if i ever ate food. I looked at him dumbly when i realized i had been there hours reading and had no life. I went home and did research when i found out that the second book wasnt even coming out here in the USA for a few years. I was terribly depressed until i had a brilliant beyond brilliant idea. I mowed lawns and babysat many brats and then I ordered the Riddle and the Crow from the UK (Thank you Amazon). Anywho, and now that brings me here, thirsting for more and more.

The End

I got it at the good old libary in october, It looked like my kind of book from the cover, and umm I read the lil cover page, and it sounded cool. anyway I loved so much when I returned it to the libray, I put sticky notes on random pages saying, ohh" you are about to read about the adventures of cadvan and maerad" blahblah, and stuff, throughout the book I put them on random pages, saying keep reading, it gets better!!! and after she finds hem is her brother I put one saying some other crazy thing, yes I had a lot of fun with that. and no, I didnt HURT the book, they were just sticky notes. I totally wouldnt vandalize and stuff. lol. ok . It was pretty sweet!

When I read of these encounters, or other things about crazy sightings of Pellinor fans in bookshops, I am not only incredibly gratified; I also think that librarians, bookshop owners etc must be getting a very weird view of these books!! Who was it who almost knocked out a bookshop owner with a pineapple??

That was tari or silvia wasnt it?! or at least i think so. hehehe i went to salts mill (which is like an art gallery, book shop, diner thingy made out of a big mill in saltaire which is a village near me). This is where i first bought the gift and i was happy to see that they have copies of all three books. Anyway much to my dissapointment they were on the bottom self tucked away in a corner, so as i do i moved them up and displayed them. Who was on his way over to the shelves? one of the workers at the shop with a stack of books to put on the shelf! so i hastened away to the other side of the room and looked inconspicously at little kids books. when i returned to look for a new YA book he'd moved them back. i kept moving them up of course until at last he gave in :P he didnt even realise it was me :p bookshop-0 bridie-199999
