ask politley for them back and if they say no then you should annoy them about it. then if all else fails scream at them. or take something of theirs hostage and tell them that if they dont give back your copies of the books then their precious item will be incinarated! *laughs evily* lol :p

I actually read the gift by taking it off my sister :D she had borrowed it from her friend.....and then I just had to go and buy the book myself even though I had read it. Both of my books are out on loan at the moment

I was in a bookshop (Page One) and I was told to choose a book. There was nothing that interested me at all. Then I saw the UK cover of The Gift which I thought was a nice cover. The blurb at the back didn't serve to convince me it was a good book, but as I had seen it a few times before, I thought I might as well read it sooner than later. And I'm so glad I did!

I was at a cocktail party and a magazine editor walked in with a stack of books and said "I need these reviewed and gimme a wine". I got her a manhatten and took The Riddle and a book by another Australian author, Red Soul, Green Soul, and gave her the rest of the books back.

I get a lot of good books that way. :D

ROCKET SHEEP!!! my good old Kiwi friend you haven't posted here in such a long time its good to see you again! Being a reviewer sounds good to me I usually pick up books because of the cover I know I know dont judge a book by its cover but I cant help it!

I want to go to cocktail parties and get lots of free books. I like manhattens. Where do I sign up?

By the way.. Politeness has failed to get me my books back. I feel a pscyhotic break coming on. I think maybe my life would be gnerally improved if i started pitching more fits.

o boo there is no one else in my house. Would it be more nuts if I had a freak out on no one in particular? :D
