No, the Crow has NOT come to us, which really, really, really sucks. I've been waiting for a long time for it to come out, and thankfully I do not have to wait any longer. It's expected release is September 11 along with the opening of the Candlewick website.

If you really can't wait, you should get it from Amazon. That's what my friend did and i stol- *cough* borrowed it from her.

Oh believe me, I rolled the idea around in my head many, many times, but in the end I decided not to. Good things come to those who wait, and this is an especially good thing! Besides, it gives me something to look forward to.
...Then again...
No. No, I will wait. The test of my willpower has begun!

Hehehehe...not at all boring. It's original. I saw them in one of those book catalogues that they pass around school. Of course, being the stupid cow I am, I picked Artemis Fowl (which is still a really really good book) over The Gift. And then a week later my friend walks into class with it in her hand and I borrowed it! And ever since then, I've been hooked. I'm re-reading The Riddle and loving it! Even though this is the *couch cough* 50 millionth time I'm reading it.

First time i read the books, i was just getitng into reading
I found the intro quite slow tbh, but kept reading and found the book to be absolutley brilliant (hence i come here to discuss it)
Still, i like reading now, and actually enjoy sections like that, so...

Hee, I always love looking through these kinds of threads.

I was one of many Harry Potter fanatics. This is a good thing in this case. Since the release of HP7 I decided I needed a new book. I was quite desperate for new reading material and I resolved to journey to one of those infamous book store places and find something from an author I rather like. Now, I generally love reading Young Adult books and I have no clue why. So I wandered over that way to see if I recognized any titles and I saw The Naming. For some reason I could have sworn I heard of the book somewhere but I couldn't remember where so I picked it up and read the first 2 pages and some random page in the middle (if I can't get through that much I can't get through the book period). I liked it so I bought it along with my other book by the other author. I read The Naming in the next two days and then went online to do some research - how many books will there be? Etc. I went back to said bookstore and bought The Riddle. I STILL have not read the book I went to buy in the first place  Now I am compulsively checking Amazon.co.uk to see when I can order The Singing (being an impatient American).

My mom won't be so happy, however. After getting her hooked on HP she asked that I not pick up any more series for a while, please. Whoopsies. I can't wait to get her to read them as well! She doesn't yet know I've found new books to read!

Hahahaha...yea, Harry Potter is alright though the fifth and sixth books are sort of tedious. Now Alison's books are GOLD. They're original and gripping and YUMMY so you can read them over and over and over and over again. Plus there's the ever so delicious Cadvan and Arkan :D:D:D to look forward to.

HP just wasnt as well written it the last 3 as the first 4 imo...perhaps she felt less inclined to write when everyone would buy it anyway...
