i'm thinking i dicovered it the normal way... i was in a book store(Barnes and Noble) and I was in desperate need of a new book... and on the bottom shelf I saw The Riddle and Maerad on the cover grabbed my attention w/ her intense gaze... so I picked it up and turned it over quickly b/c the gaze was making me feel uncomfortable and I read the back. it sounded interesting... then I dicovered that it was the second in the series so I grabbed the first one... and that one seemed even more interesting than the first... so I bought it! :D I think Maerads intense gaze on the cover of The Riddle was silently speaking to me... Her staring w/ the sword thingy in her hand: "You will read my story or I will thrust this sword thingy into your intestines..." there, that is my interpretation of the look on her face on the cover of The Riddle and my wondrous experience discovering these AMAZING books!
PEACE OUT! *whoosh! and she disappears! magelets can do that lol*

i was looking for good fantasy written by a woman, after a disappointing book written by sabine wassermann, i felt terribly annoyed by the genre.
I had to wait for my train and needed a book so i bought the book with the best blurb (my dictionary says itīs an actual word). It was the gift/die gabe.
i read the gift, the riddle and the crow in one week.

I really needed a book to read.
And i'd seen the Gift several times at the book store
i nearly didn't buy it because i was in a bad mood
that bad mood didnt last long once i started reading it
i read them all in 2 weeks which is a long time
i read them slowly so they lasted longer :D

I was taking a trip. Yep, I was in B.C., and I was looking through the books in a bookstore. My stepdad found it and showed it to me and we agreed that I'd probably like it.

I finished half of it on the plane back.
