My dad works at a publishing company and every so often he brings back a stack of books for me to read. I think he still thinks I'm a 10 year old kid because sometimes he brings back really childish books. Then again, sometimes I think he thinks I'm 20 or something because he brings back Murder/Crime/Soapie kind of books. But one day, in 2006, he brought home The Gift. I was drawn to the cover and I read the blurb at the back. And I instantly fell in love. I took it to school to read and just kept reading. Now I find that I can't even keep my hands off the books x]

I was in Borders and I was looking for some interesting books to buy and read. On the table was the Naming , so I picked it up. I read the back and I was hooked.

My story is completely un-origional. I picked up The Gift at my library. YAY for un-origionality!!
Lol. Me too! :) I was browsing a couple years ago around the fantasy section in our little little library for something I hadn't read. I thought the summary sounded cliche, but I borrowed it anyways.
That's on the top-ten list of good choices I've made in my life!:D;)
Honestly... The summary is awful. I might have put it back if there'd been anything else, never suspecting the wonderfulness of the actual book!:p;)
