I agree with Gemini. There's nothing wrong with the age difference, your vision is just being clouded by our societies' ridiculously superfluous taboos.
Plus, no one objected to the Arwen/Aragorn relationship, despite her being at least 3000 years his senior. :D

Maerad and Cadvan? :p How about...

Cadvan and Maerad look deeply in each others eyes, speaking of their undying love without words.
Cadvan takes Maerad in his arms and covers her mouth with a passionate exchange of saliva. And as they parted their lips briefly, Cadvan declares his love for Maerad, and a sweet love song fills the air. Maerad takes
Cadvan's hand and they scamper off to the land of eternal bliss, butterflies and small white bunnies scampering behind them as the sun rises majestically over the hills.
That above has to be the funniest most rediculous thing ive eva read.
hhahahahah.its hilarious,exchange of saliva!...hahahah... :D

The perfectual ending for a perfectual storie. :p

*cough* yeah right...

while i would be so happy if the two of them were to have at least one passionate scene or whatever... with everyone saying thats whats gonna happen - it'll probably turn out to the opposite just to surprize. :(
