stands in as the 'random guy'
"now now ladies. let's not bully the lone male (namely me).
besides, guys can definitely stomach the idea of romance...
just not too much as to make others think that they're gay.
i'm starting to think that this forum is way too feminist for
my masculine sensibilities. "

Well beat it then, tough guy - before you get mauled by a pack of mini Germaine Greers... :D

I think it will happen. I'm not saying that the plot is predictable, but I've just got this gut feeling that it really would complete Maerad's story. :)
But what would Mrs. Cadvan do if her beloved Caddy got married to... *gasp* - another woman!
Anyone remember Alison's post in the "woman and fantasy" thread, about the play her husband wrote? Funny stuff.

Nah, I'm not. Just very defensive where the M/C relationship is concerned...as you've probably noticed. ;) :D

I've been (not entirely) puzzled by the preponderance of the fairer sex in this forum, because in my anecdotal evidence - letters &c - the Pellinor books have quite a lot of male readers. Maybe you scare them off, ladeez... :D

OUCH owleye. you probably think those two words "masculine"
and "sensibilities" don't ever go together, do you?

My dears, I come from a family full of men (and young men) with very acute and developed sensibilities (now it sounds like a disease)... :D And I've met some women with none at all. So gendered generalisations are not, in my view, a thing to be encouraged. If it's offensive to generalise about women, it's equally so to generalise about men.
