Anyway, back to topic:

I'd like Maerad and Cadvan to get together, but I don't know whether they will.

I'm trying my best to please supporters of them being together (e.g. Mrs Cadvan) and opponents. Hopefully this should stop any pitchforks being aimed at me!

yeah i'd love for Cadvan and Maerad to get together. But if u think about it he's more of a father figure and as thats wat alison said im doubtful if all our dreams will ever become reality.
not that im saying that they shouldn't, but im still doubtful...

Another problem is, I suppose, Dernhil's death. Maerad would keep thinking about it. Cadvan would also (probably) be thinking about that AND Ceredin's death - he still hasn't forgiven himself over that.

From the length of this debate..i think that alison will have to write 2 books..one where M&C get together and one where they don't! then we can choose! :D SORTED!! :D

Only 2? What about books for Maerad+Arkan or other combinations?

Ohmigod...

It's hard enough writing one book, you guys! How about a kind of multiple choice book? (if Maerad kisses Cadvan, turn to page 51; if she runs away, turn to 26)

Sorry, alison. I didn't mean that the way it probably sounded. All I meant was that some people would probably never be perfectly satisfied. A multiple choice book would be one way to get round the whole will they/won't they situation, of course. Wouldn't it be quite hard though, to make the story flow continously? I'm sure I could never do that - I'm not much of a writer!
