Hi everyone! I have been reading all your things and I totally agree that M & C should get together.
Books have to have a love interest! It makes a good books for me :)
I can't see Alison writing a steamy sex scene but any action is good for me.

I agree; usually (not always, but most of the time) I need a good romance to keep me interested in a series.
Though I'll admit I'd probably love these books even if there weren't any love interest. Still, you've gotta love Cadvan. ;)
My opinion on the matter (of whether or not they'll get together) is that there seem to be a lot of hints that they might, and I really really hope they do...but I'm enough of a realist to see it might not end up that way.
Still, and I don't know if anybody's pointed this out before, it seems pretty certain they'll both survive and remain good friends, because don't they write the Scrolls together like, 67 years later or something?

yeah i know all that stuff in the back of the books.

i think (if they did get together) that they'd go for it in a school. when theyre on the road, maerad sees cadvan more as a companion and a protector than as a man or love interest.
but when theyre in a school, (and not smelly and dirty) maerad seems to be more embarrased and shy with cadvan. sounding like she's a bit nervous? maybe she would only be nervous if she liked him....... ;) but maybe its only because she is not used to living in a school.

you never know!
let's just keep hopeful... hint hint

i never thought of that firefall, great detective work!

in light of this forgotten detail, something big has to go on between them in the last book, but yes, I very highly doubt Alison putting in sex scenes or anything, it would totaly ruin the feel of the book!

I just had an idea! After the series is written we should get Alison to publish the fanfiction thread! Lots of "action scenes" in that...

only one week of school left for the whole year!

haha yes alison should publish the fanfic thread it would be a great book to own and say i helped write this! we could ask her to put it in the apendix of the singing...

last night while i was finishing re-re-re-reading the riddle i noticed that at the end cadvan is stroking maerads hand gently(when they meet at pellinor) for a long time and carefully descibing what love is to her and how she shouldnt be ashamed of who she loves even if its an impossible love. This, i thought, is not something someone whos wants to be just friends says or does! so perhaps cadvan is finaly addmiting his love for his dear m and realises its impossible because shes in love with [spoiler]arkan[spoiler/]?

Do you think theyll be brave enough to admit to each other that there in love with the other, i could see cadvan admiting it bbecause he keeps saying not to be ashamed of love but i couldnt see m saying it

i really do want them 2 get 2gether but im not sure tht they r goin 2 be brave enough admit there love 4 each other. They can fight evil bards and creatures of evil, but 2 admit love expecially for 2 ppl who r friends + tht aren't sure wht the other feels. Im not sure they r brave enough 2 do it!
