What do you think will happen between Maerad and Cadvan!!!

I also think the song of Andomian and Beruldh might be of some signifigance

Oooh, I totally agree. I think that the song might definitely be some sort of link between the 2.

Now, what do we know about the song?
The gal went into the dungeons of the Nameless to save her brothers. The blokey was in lurve with her, so he went with her to help and they both died there...or something...

SO... if Maerad & Cadvan are going to follow this, maybe Hem will go into the dungeons to save Z (soz, can't do spoilers!), so Maerad will go after him to save him, Cadvan will go with her, they'll fall in love there, save the day but die trying?

And it will all be all spooky because they are following the ancestors of the past...it will be as if the past is haunting the present! (Got this idea from a fabby book called Possession by A.S Byatt - great stuff!)

Or maybe Maerad will get stuck in the dungeons and Cadvan will play the song to let her know that he is coming to save her????

I have many theories! :p

The spoiler tags are [SPOILER] what you want to hide then [/ SPOILER] no gap between / and S tho.

Hmmm, if we don't learn from history's mistakes we are doomed to repeat them?

The song may have some bearing on the relationship, if there are going to be any similarities, i think it'll just be in the whole, woman going off to defeat dark one and guy following type thing.

I just started a re-read of gift (mostly beacuse watching the very long unmown grass in the park over the road, waving in the winds while the rain fell and then the sun shone and made everything look very green, put me in the mood... strangely enough :D) and i'm spending the whole time saying "aw, come on, admit that your madly in love and rip all your clothes off!"..... :D

The fact that whether they can't die or not has been hotly debated on another thread... i forget which one tho, and i think we came up with some pretty good reasons that one of them might actualy die anyway.

I just couldn't be bothered dredging my memory to find them or to find the convo :D

Wow, looking back at that thread... i'm amazed by how easily we always went off topic.

If you do read that convo, persevere through all the cr@p, we actually do get back on topic by the 9th page or so :D

I think Cadvan is in love with Maerad even if he hasn't admitted it to himself.
