WHY??????? Why does she NEED someone her own age??? That's ageist that is :D, i still don't see any problem with her having a relationship with Cadvan even tho he's 80yrs her senior. Also, about the whole baby thing, having a baby would imply that they settle down into a quiet life at a school and i just can't see either of them doing that, maybe Maerad but deff not Cadvan...
