Yeah, me too. Yesterday I was re-reading The Immortals instead of writing my 8 page essay. Not a good idea when it's due tomorrow...

Anyways, back on topic!

I love Alison's Pellinor books because of their originality and depth. They're thick, juicy, and I love how deep she gets into the characters. Instead of just sticking to one plot, like most books do, she spreads out into branches into these little sub-plots and themes.

Also there is Cadvan. The fact that there is a dominant and appealing male figure attracts many fans to the book.

In The Riddle I skimmed the book to see if he really had died . I don't think I would have enjoyed the rest of the series without him.

:eek: Woah. Its amazing how many of the serie's fans soley depend on Cadvan to keep their interests up. But I can't imagine what the books would be like without a male like him. Which is why I'm so curious to read The Crow. I wonder what Saliman is really like up close and personal.

Saliman is just as hot as Cadders :p but in a totally different way. He is fun-loving and passionate and so much more open than Cadvan. He would be a good guy to have at a party, I've always thought :p

But Cadvan is just phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwoar! :D

I think of Cadders as the sensitive guy the slightly nerdy boyfriend who'll kiss your neck and tell you how beautiful you are and give you flowers and diamonds for your bday

and saliman is the rockstar boyfriend who'll go to a concert and rock out all night long and then come back to you backstage and give you frenchies

and Hem is the guy who is like the surfer boyfriends the bottomless appetite and the high energy levels who seems hard on the outside but is a real softie on the inside

and arkan is the vain one who keeps a combin his pocket just incase his fringe is a bit too far to right. who takes all ot of time keeping his image perect is a fashionista and glitterati and has had his sexual preferences questioned more than the norm

Thanks guys! To be honest, I wasn't really looking totally forward to reading The Crow, thinking it might just be a little below my CadvanisnttheresoitcantbeTHATbad standards. :rolleyes:

sooooo besides the 3 awesome male figures i love how much alison made the world seem real cuz i HATE books that have a 2D setting, alisons writing lets me see all the details while reading the book even if she didnt put them in

thats wot i love about her writing her charcters have so many hidden depths and idiosynchrasies (sp?) HP and Eragon have exciting story lines and twists and stuff but the charcters are so black and white like there's no question that voldemort is bad or that galbatorix is bad but compared with enkir they just seem so mediocre and shalllow u know wwot i mean?
