same happened to me,so i told everyone that there was a plot twist and harry died, and voldemort took over the world, but that there was a small resistance led by harrys friends, and there will be a new seiries, they where all rly exited and telling everyone until a few of the less lazy people in my school read it and told everyone i wasa lying XD,i was so unpopular after that :D:D:D:D:D

i remember i got it on a friday and i read it over the weekend
when i got to school everyone asked me what happenned its sooooooo annoying when people dont read HP but bug u for spoilers and especially annoying when they say that theyve seen the movies but havent read the books. its just really annoying becoz sometimes i really want to discuss it and like talk about wot might happen next but instead they talk about the special FX in the movies. and i absolutely HATE IT when u lend peeps a book a they dont get around to reading it untill like next term and especially when that one book is the gift and you want to re read the whole series be4 the singing comes out but u cant becoz your bestie alana is lazy and reads at about the same pace as a snail!!!

wow thats a long post

lol, I have the Harry Potter set but once I read Alison's books I just went phet* and decided I liked her story better.. hehe.. I am biased :D I read a lot of books but I prefer books that are long and have cryptic people like Cadders... lol.. he so doesn't want anyone to figure him out :D

lol that's so true. i think somewhere in the gift he says "i like to think of myself as the eye that sees but goes unseen..." (or something like that) he cleaves to that dark mysterious archetype doesn't he?

The books are so lovely. Alison's characterisations are so sensitive and well rounded. And the interaction between them... tee hee (go M+C!!!!)...there's something quite amorphous about them like real relationships are.

Yes; that's another reason I like it. The characters are so human.

actually i remebr when ma bestie geo (short for georgia) was in a major part in a local amateur play and it was dress rehearsal and she and Liam (her brother in the play) were the only ones whod read the deathly hallows. geo and liam were backstage talking about the ending (u know the BIG TWIST!) and she didnt know her microphone was on.

everyone in the whole theatre heard her give the ending away. nobody eva forgave her

I just love them, I don't have to delve to deeply into that, do I?
I don't really understand people who don't like them, I really don't get them?
