LOL! I got it confiscated in science too, because I was up to

when they were attacked at 'the broken teeth'

and I just couldn't put it down. It was by my friend too, not my teacher. She later apologised profusely when she read the book herself though :D

Anyway.... back on topic....

I think it really takes a poet to write so beautifully. The breathtaking descriptions of people and places are close to poetry themselves. The emotions and relationships in the book are just so... beautiful! (you can tell that my mental thesaurus has gone walkabouts :p) and the poems! That line in the poem just before 'Thorold'- I kissed the peaks of Lamedon with my eyes just sends shivers down my spine, I think it is the most beautiful sentence ever written!

but enough of my raptured ramblings...

:o Emerald :) :) :)

I love the books for the concepts. Like, all the schools and Bards and stuff. And I like reading about the different peoples. It's good! :)

i think what i liked was the fact that due to the detail used for landsacpes, cities , history, characters, culture etc. it just so seemed real

it contains every element a good fantasy should - comedy, heros and heroines, tradgedy, love, great landscapes, magic...... the list is endless
i also loved all the songs & poems and the maps made it all the more realistic :)

but i don't particularly like having a bucket of water thrown on my head... anyway, i'll most definintely spawn a "revenge ATTACK ", and of course you will be sacked in the process owl... and becks, will recieve... a... tomato to her skull.

be tomato'd and feel shame.

** I hereby apologize for my complusive rambling syndrom to all your topic-talker-stayers... please do not be swayed from your topic-staying and bear with me..
