all this talk of tim tams is making me hungry.......grr....

don't oyu think their should be a rule that teachers aren't allowed to teach their children becuase they're gonna be biased either way. They'll either be really nice to them or really harsh.

Errmmm ....google it...there are usually some good things.I've tried that before for anime and i got some v good sites but i can't remember them...
One of the girls in my class is so good at anime- on the last day before the xmas hols she drew anime characters ALL over the board- she is so talented it's unbelievable. The best i can do is flowers and giraffes and smiley faces!lol. Then one of the class prats *Alex cough cough slade cough* (Oh dear i'm coing down with something!) wen't and wiped it off before we could take pics for her art project. it was really mean.

I mostly draw anime and manga stuff...allthough iīve been trying to do some realistic drawings...but it always looks like anime in the end...

I know some really good sites in German, and one in English (http://www.fanart.net/). There are some pretty good tutorials in the German versionof this site, Iīm not sure, if they have them in the English version though. But there are about 357439 manga and anime pictures to look at...maybe that helps a little ^-^

speaking of art teachers...I think all art teachers are a little weird. I think they have to be somewhat crazy...not that I donīt like art teachers...they (at least the one I know) are just a little...different.
All my teacher can talk about are naked wemon, and how we all have to suffer...seriously...the teacher I had last year drew little bunnies on every picture she looked at, and the one before that wore the same cloths every day...for one year...e-v-e-r-y d-a-y...he also talked really slow...then he forgot what he was going to say and started a new sentence...
okay...Iīll stop now... ^^"

I think it is easier than to draw a portrait of somebody else...just think how often you look at yourself...also, you donīt only know what your face looks like, but also what it feels like, i think that makes it easier :D

Yes I agree with you. As with anything, people will work with what they've got (or in in this case, what they see), and I know that a lot of my drawings have something of me in them whether I like it or not! The funny thing is that when I really want to do a self portrait (a rare occurence) it inevitably ends up looking very strange.
