Is the Future non-western?
"A future dominated by Pacific Rim economies and Indian outsourcing
has been a popular theme in SF since the cyberpunk wave and before.
Is the world now moving in this direction, and if so what path will
it take? Will this affect SF writing?"
This is the topic of a panel which I will be on at Worldcon in Glasgow. If you have any ideas on this, anything that you would like discussed, please feel free to add to this thread! Would love to hear from you, even if you aren't going to Worldcon. I will tell you about it here afterwards, promise.
