SJ's dumb question thread.

It seems like we should have a place to vent moronic hangups every now and then. Yesterday I was driving through Wisconsin and I got to wondering about people saying "GREAT SCOTT!" back in the day. Now, my dumb question is, was there a particular great scottish person (or person named scott) they were referring to? Were they trying to invoke this omnipotent glorious Scottsmen to help them? Do I need therapy?

I'm English, so I don't generally do bigging up of the Scottish. I prefer to think of it as a giant scotty dog, a bit like Digby, only cuter.

It certainly isn't refering to Scott Stapp whos insipid band have featured around these parts of late.

However, here is the most boring article in the world with its very boring conclusion:

Should be ignored at all costs though; only for the terminally bored.

SJ, that's what the Funzone is for... I think 'Vent Moronic Hang-ups' is the perfect strapline for the Funzone, but don't tell sheepie!

Sorry mate, feel free to start that thread up over there or just ask and we'll move this over there for you.

well, if you really want to move it go ahead I guess. Thanks for the link btw.

You're right, that's easily boring enough to make me sorry I asked :S.
