well, if you want my advise, you should just wait, because I actually restrained myself from reading the sample chapter for the Riddle that was inside the back of the Naming. Eventually I gave in :D and what happened was; it left me even MORE hungry for the Riddle! And it gave away some things...I just think you should wait.

however, everyone's different, so if you REALLY want to, go ahead! :D

Candlewick tells me that they have ordered a reprint of The Naming paperback edition after one month...! To me this sounds very cool, although I don't really know what it means in terms of the bigger market. It does mean that those lovely Americans have already, counting the hardbacks, bought 30,000 copies of The Naming! Could it be that one day I'll be rich?! That would be most excellent, since I'm tired of being a poverty-stricken writer. (The usual fate of writers, guys, so take note all you budding authors out there...)

I did some sums and figure that Book 1 (The Naming/The Gift) must be pushing close to 50,000 copies sold in the UK, US and Australia, which is beginning to sound quite respectable.
