We aren't exactly deprived, the Aussies had to wait for longer than we would have done (I think the Riddle came out earlier in Austrailia, if not then my theory is knackered...) if the release dates were the same for England and Austrailia....

And the Americans are the same except they are WAY behind...

Ok guys I think we're gonna have to start bracing ourselves! Now that The Naming is getting lots of recognition this forum is gonna be swamped with American's soon :D

WHAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICANS??????!!!!! (*sniffles*) I am deeply hurt by your accusation. We're not THAT bad!:(

Hey guys, keep calm not too long now. :)

Ok maybe it is but never mind... i think i'm becoming quite patient. Go watch some football or something there is plenty of it on at the moment might calm our nerves. :D

Hang on, think of it like this... the Crow is out before the end of the world cup... see now it doesnt seem that long.

one of the many good points about living in australia is that we get all of alison's books 1st!! yay australia is the best country in thw world!!!!!!!!

maybe everyone should move here and we can start our own school of pellinor right here in sydney where we can sit around alison and egg her on as she writes. then we can review each chapter as it is completed and give her ideas for more sequels. great! yes! yay! then stalking wont be needed.

All of you guys can count yourselves lucky. South Africa get book last normally. In fact I can order them from the States quicker than what they are released here. I still have to wait another two months for the new Feist book. So we all have our trials and tribulations. I try and stay a bit behind then when I get to it I can read all the books in a row. I bought the first 2 books about 2 months ago and Crow last week. I started reading the Gift last night and am suitably impressed. It will be nice to have the continuity of all three books. Maybe if I am really lucky Singing will be out here soon.

Well, considering that it has yet to be written (completely), you'll probably have to wait at least several months. :(

But on the bright side: I'm sure shipping from Britian to South Africa, or even from Australia, to South Africa is cheaper than shipping to Chicago. :)

The Singing is going to be a while, guys. Even if I write it furiously and finish on schedule, the book has to be edited and scheduled and everything else. However, I have a little titbit of news that might excite English fans - Walker has asked me to write a short story for a series of little books they're putting out to promote some of their authors to adult audiences. It's quite cool, they will be printed in tiny books like those books Penguin put out. Of course I said "yes" (how could I refuse?) and am now trying to write the short story!! Ha. Serves me right. I am thinking it will be about young Saliman, but am yet to find the right shape. I'll let you know when it's supposed to be published - I'm a bit sketchy on the details, but judging by the October deadline it could be early to mid next year.

There's also talk of some kind of graphic book/lushly illustrated spin off, once I get The Singing out of my hair, which could be really fun - again from the English publishers. But first things first...
