Hi guys. Long time no see, I know. 2007 has been one crazy year, and there's little sign of things getting less crazy. One thing that's gone awol is keeping up with Pellinor readers, for which I deeply apologise. I love you all - why else would I write the books? But Life - which happens, as John Lennon says, when you're making other plans - keeps getting in the way.
I suppose you've all spotted the UK cover for The Singing - up at Walker Books? It's pretty awesome, I think, and perfect for the book. Me, I'm just finishing the first edit, which will be done by Christmas. For various reasons, both mine and at the other end, it's taken a little longer than hoped. So the bad news is that The Singing - or at least the UK edition -has been put back until September.
Don't cry - please! :( It will be worth it in the end. And I swear that I'm doing everything to make this the best book of the lot. And I hope you all think so, when it finally appears on bookshelves!
Anyway, the Pellinor books seem to be creeping up various lists, and getting more popular, and that's very encouraging. I know it's because of you people. So keep up the good work!
By the way, my blog (http://booksofpellinor.blogspot.com) is probably the best place if you want to ask something directly of me (here is for crazed discussion). I've been a little slack there, due t general chaos in life etc, but it's the best place for updates on the books.
