Damn, posted on the wrong thread...!

I don't know the pub date, but I am fairly certain The Singing is out mid year in Australia, ie June/July. But that may be incorrect.

Candlewick tells me it will be out in the US on September 9, so the US has finally caught up with the UK!

Yes! We are even! Now no one can brag, well, except the Australians, but whatev. And except Alison. But you wrote the book, so I don't think you count...:D

Whoa, I was just surfing this site when I found this! And The Gift/Naming wasn't even out yet!!!!!!!!!!! This is so wierd to look back on, knowing that it is now so important to me, and then I didn't even know what it was....so freaky.....

Which is, if anyone's interested, and if it isn't against list etiquette - would anyone like to take a look at a chapter of my book, The Gift, which I've posted at http://www.users.bigpond.com/acroggon/chap.html It's the opening chapter; I thought of excerpting later stuff, because it changes with the story, but it all requires too much explanation. It's coming out next year with Penguin, and so I've obviously shown it to a few people, but I'm very curious to know what hard core fantasy fans think. Positive _or_ negative comments are of course welcome, I'm a big girl.

Best

Alison

Ugh....Jennistar, I hate you.

Just kidding, we all love you. But I am so mad. I wish I lived in Australia so badly right now; you don't even want to know...

Yes, the books have now made their way into German!!!

I found the covers today by the simple expedient of looking up German Amazon, where I also found that The Gift came out this month, with The Crow and The Riddle on their way early next year.

Anyway, I thought you might like to see some more Pellinor covers... for some reason they wouldn't post here, but I've put them up on the blog here (http://booksofpellinor.blogspot.com/2007/12/die-pellinor-saga.html).
