This has probley been done before but I don't care and after the release of HBP you may wish to change your view.

My personnel fav is Tonks just because her comical release in Order Of The Pheonix lightens up the book perfectly and the fact she fits none of the stereotypes of conventional magic users is refreshing.

Please feel free to open debates about characters athough lets not just disscuss Snape I find the character boring.

I'm sorry, anyone who could possibly think Snape is 'boring' is the polar opposite of me when it comes to, I'm guessing, pretty much anything.

He is by far my favorite.

Fred and George Weasley are my heroes. Look at my name and tell me who you think I would identify with the most out of the entire HP universe.

tonks does lighten the mood but we just dont get enough of her, so i cant form an opinion on her, but i liked the way JKR brought her and lupin together.
i also think snape is very interesting and many a conversation has been based on him, i think he has depth and i think that JKR will give us more surprises about him in the next bk. hopefully :o
fred and george are cool, love their jokes...
i guess i sorta like all the charachters that i cant make my mind up
i really liked finding out about james, sirius and lupin and what they got up to at school... icant make up my mind if i like lupin more than i liked sirius
i like the idea of lupin being a werewolf, struggling to make a life and being accepted in the wizarding world, but i also enjoyed finding out more about sirius, his family and grimmauld place

Yeah I enjoy the back ground stuff it adds extra flavour to the events the introduction of the pensive was a nice touch as well.

I think I prefer Lupin to Sirius maybe because he has a more developed character with more interesting flaws. His life really does offer the oppurtunity for a spin off novel its a pity JK has ruled out anything Potter based after completing the trilogy.

Lupin is the best.Sirius was OK,Tonks is cool,Fred and George are funny in some occasions, but in some I don't like them at all.I don't want to discuss Snape.I've never liked him.

I'venever like Snape either, my favorite would have to be Harry, since we know him the best. Sirus, because he's just cool. And Dumbledore, cause he's powerful. Well 2/3 of my favs are gone :( It's really a sad site, maybe the last will die too. :(

Well, first of all I think we all love Harry. There's just something about reading the books, you can't help rooting for Harry.

But otherwise my favorites would be:

Main Character:
Dumbledore

Secondary Order of the Phoenix Character:
Sirius Black

Minor Character:
Fred and George Weasley

Voldemort has to be commended for his strength of will. Not many people are willing to rip apart their soul simply to cheat death. That might be a tad messed up, but brave nonetheless. Though I really wished he would've had a standoff with Dumbledore(Besides the one in book 5, that was a little weak).

Voldie is just your stereotypical baddie, Snape's much more interesting.
