If not for the brown eyes instead of blue, she'd make a really good Maerad! I picture Maerad as having a bit of a longer face, though, and not as large-eyed as this girl, but still, a pretty decent match.

Hey, I know this book! :D

Anyway, yeah, she could be Maerad. :)
She's pretty, and quite innocent looking too.

I know I'm new here, but wouldn't it be just as important for whatever actress chosen, should there ever be a film :) to be able to play lyre or harp as well as look and act the part? As they can be difficult to learn, for some people, and would have to be played well, in order to portray the character accurately.

Actually, they would probably dub it.... With violinists etc. in movies they will usually use someone else, because the skill is SO hard, and when they zoom in on the character's hands, really be using the real violinist (non-actor). The biggest problem is when they want to do whole-body shots of the person playing, always looks awful, but it might be better with lyre than violin...? The look of plucking might be easier to simulate than a full bow-arm, left hand w/ appropriate technique... Not sure. But the likelihood of having a brilliant actress who looks the part and also plays the lyre is sort of low....

Yea... SS' right. Ultimately, it would all depend upon the way they use the cameras. If it were only for the singing, however, we could've got a Broadway actress or two.
