I don't think a 16-year-old would do the character justice. Maerad might be 16, but she is an old soul (I think anyway). And how many good 16 year-old actors do you know (And please don't say Emma Watson, she's fine for Hermione but she ain't a great actor.)? I think a 16 year-old would just look too young, and childish.

Why oh why must we all go ONNNNN and ONNNN about who should play Maerad and how only a good actress should play her, when there is NO MOVIE!!! And come on, we would have no say in it, that would be the directors and producers and they would probably choose an unknown to play both Maerad and Cadvan, and we have to remember the actors would have to have chemistry between each other and Cadvan can't look to old next to Maerad or else that would upset people, which is why im saying I think Rachel McAdams RESEMBLES what i think Maerad would LOOK like... I don't care if she's a bad actress (which shes not, have you seen her in The Notebook? If you had, you wouldn't call her a bad actress either) Or if she looks too old, I just care about the fact that to me, shes what i imagine Maerad to look like

If that's the case, don't be hypocrite by shooting me down when i say i think Elaine Cassidy RESEMBLES her....

Yes, i have seen the Notebook, it was overly cliched with a highly predictable outcome and highly unlikely ending, pfft, oh they just HAPPEN to die at exactly the same time....

Also, if you kindly scroll back to my post, you'll noticed i put "IMO" after my little speel about Rachel.. ie that means it's MY OPINION, so don't go off about it being your opinion that Rachel is a "Maerad" and all when i was merely expressing my own, alright? seesh  :D
