Do you like/dislike the winterking,Arkan? (spoilers for the riddle)

Yes; he was very clever and especially philosophical, interestingly...
I'm surprised by your use of the word friendships, to me he seemed to distant and amoral for such things. In some ways Ardina is more amoral...
Nelsor must have been extraordinary to form a relationship with Arkan.

yeah, thats what i mean(kinda).
He reminds me off me in a way, slow to make friendships but values the ones he had (Nelsor, Sharma for a while until he betrayed)

I don't think Arkan was necessarily (sp?) Sharma's friend, just...begrudging ally and pawn. I would be surprised if Sharma ever had friends, even Imank.

He may have had friends before he cast off his name....

True. Even then, I suspect he was not exactly sociable, though.

I suppose not.....

Doesn't anyone think Sharma and Voldemort are similar? Both very powerful people who were never exactly evil as such to begin with, but then just went bad?

nah, if you look at it from what arkans concepts were, in a deluded way Sharma was right, he chose the truth...

I beg to differ about Voldemort; even as a kid he was evil. Sharma was different.

If you mean that the way I think you mean, Sharma choosing to become immortal, yes, that is the truth and understanding of the world that comes with immortality, but as Sharma was not of the Immortals he could not understand the truth. He became twisted by the truth of the immortals that was not for him.
Arkan resents that he tried to become Immortal and unchanged. Only Elidhu can be immortal and remain whole. It may be Ardina and Nyanar resent his foolish presumption that he could be like Elidhu too.
