Do you like/dislike the winterking,Arkan? (spoilers for the riddle)

Arkan isn't evil, as such...He's just whimsical, and as Dena said, that can make him dangerous. If he wants Maerad, he is amoral about it; he won't be polite.

but not being bound by rules is not the same as not knowing, or following them. He can still know its wrong, and, if he loved her, could still feel bad for doing it

"ignorance is bliss."

He might say that...........

i dont think thats likely i've notice that bliss isnt a major factor in his relationships he tends to be attracted to people who are likely to fight with him its like women who are repeatedly in abusive relationships they just cant stay away from that sort of person

AS far as we know, he's only been in a relationship with one woman........

the other was Nelsor, and he was a guy..............

So we have no idea how they both were. I think Nelsor loved him, but died.

I just realized I've never posted in this thread.

So, yes I like Arkan. I think he's a fascinating character, and if I were in Maerad's posistion, I would have done the same thing as her and fallen in love with him, but probably left like she did too.

And although I like the idea of Maerad and Arkan, I think Maerad herself would be better off if she ended up with Cadvan. But then again, who knows.

I wonder if she would have left as soon as she did if she hadn't realized that the whole "ice world" was an illusion.

i think that arkan and cadvan both care deeply for maerad, and she cares deeply for them, but she'll have to make a decision. so will arkan, because right now he doesn't seem to be on a side
