I love both the books so much but i like the Gift the best, i don't like the Winterking so i couldn't really get into the second half of the Riddle.

The thing about the second half is, I think that it's very, VERY different from everything up until then. We readers meet the challenge of... staying interested without Cadvan! :D :p I was able to get into the second half, Arkan was excellent (in my opinion) and it was interesting to see Maerad survive on her own. At first I was alittle startled, but it turned out to be a very interesting portion. I looooved Arkan, his character I mean, and a whole bunch of interesting stuff happened, so I was cool with it. :)
