Well, I'm only really greek by heritage, so I don't really know much about it, other than that the Greek Orthadox religion (Which I don't really follow) has a differant Easter date than the regular Christian one, or whatever religion it is. I can never keep them all straight.
Anyways, since I live in America, we celebrate both Easters.

Oh God. I agree with you completely. And she CAN'T act. And I ain't blind. Haha. Maybe her dreadful face attacked you and you're the one that's blinded. Bend it Like Beckham was a poor representation of the beautiful Indian culture. Did you realize the way she looked like an impubesent boy in that movie? She has absolutely NO shape. And she's SELFISH. I DARE you to watch the first Pirates with movie with her commentary, she is quite definately the most selfish person I've ever seen. She kept saying, "Oh God, there goes Johnny again trying to upstage me. This is MY corset part." Her acting in that movie was TERRIBLE. ESPECIALLY the third movie. No ONE from that era acted that way. And in those times, people appreciated it when women had shape. Please, reconsider your ideal of a good actress; Kate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, Natelie Portman (yes, she IS amazing and would've done a much better job at EVERY part Kiera ever got.) Amy Adams, Nicole Kidman, Scarlett Johansen, I could go on. Find me one scene of any movie where she's NOT pouting those fish lips. I bet if you ask her to, she'll inflate them and engulf you.

In her defense, she was just cast in Bend It Like Beckham without any experience and she had no idea what she was doing--so it was partly the casting that was bad.

I love the Pirates movies, and really, none of the characters act realistic to the time period. :D

Kiera Knightface is self absorbed. She is a BOARD. She is a flat-faced cat, if you will. She is a balloon - good for nothing but taking up air and space. Bend it Like Beckham was badly casted? Uh... aren't you opposing her by saying that? Even if she was 'underprepared,' any good actress would've pulled off such an easy part. None of her characters have depth. She is no character actress, period.

And by character actress I mean someone like Kate Winslet - who can pull off ANYTHING. "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," she's a scatter-brained, middle-aged woman trying to find herself, and she completely changed her accent. She can go from playing a naive young woman in Sense and Sensibility to playing a boisterous, fierce servant in something as scandalous as "Quills."

Scarlett Johansen is just as talented. She can go from playing a dull, indifferent teenager in "Ghost World," to playing a sensible, shy woman in "Girl With the Pearl Earring."

Helena Bonahm Carter, not only is she beautiful, but she can pull of a million different accents. She's been in "Big Fish," and "Sweeney Todd." She is the woman in movies that man can feel okay to want and that woman aren't annoyed with. (She isn't a big slut. Period.)

Good actresses can play a variety of roles, abandoning their own personality. They have real, timeless beauty that gives them the ability to be cast in any movie with a specific time period. All things Kiera Knightly lacks.

I thought after I watched Potc that Elizabeth seemed a lot different in every film... then I realised it was acctually every scene that she had a new personality.

Those poor potc writers, she just sticks a dagger through their heroine's lines.
