Maybe get them an Iriver or another mp3 player brand, because Ipod's always seem to die a bit quick, and I have an Iriver x20, it's awesome.

One thing Irivers have what Ipods dont is fm radio, sd card compatibility, and you can record voice via the inbuilt microphone or an external microphone (you plaug it in).

i only like my ipod better than other mp3 players because its purple. pretty purple. i suppose there's other mp3 players that are purple just not so pretty. maybe i have issues too :)

The smaller Ipods are expensive, but when you get into the 60GB plus range (i use it for storage as well) they are ridiculously well priced for what you get

I just don't listen to music that much. Especially rock/pop/other modern music. ESPECIALLY rap, just don't like it.
