But you ignore compression there

I expect you could compress, assuming 80 minutes per CD (800MB of CD audio =/=80 mins ish), could see at least 10fold compression without a noticable drop in audio quality, unless your an audiophile, in which case the first calculation is correct. I would say you could comfortably compress it to about 1GB, maybe even 900MB
