I think I'd have to go with movies also....Partly because of the PRESTIGE!!!! :D (which is actually more realistic SF than fantasy) and because of LotR....

Thanks Rheingold, I appreciate it. It makes sense that you guys wanted the Dems to win. I personally lean more to the progressive / liberal side of things, I think people should be more free to govern their own lives.
I like to watch the movies of fantasy books, but personally, was very dissapointed with the HP movies (Except the first one), they make the books out to be very dark, and I never experienced the books that way, more serious in the later ones, but not dark at all. I will allow my son to read the books, but not to watch the movies. :D

ah!!! I think im like the only republican supporter here!!!!!:o *backs into corner DONt hurt ME!!!
lol:D
anyways, the republican party tends to treat the military a heck of alot better than the democrats do with salaries and finanical backing for weapons and protection, and coming from a military background with grandparents that were in the military and my father retired air force, i tend to lean towards republican. Democrats most of the time opt for lower salaries and less grants and financial aid for our military, and if we do end up in war as we are now, they desere to have the wepaons and protection needed.
On the other hand, environmentally, i dont like the bush administrations actions, but regardless of the party we definetly need to work better on preserving our environment, many ppl arent even aware of the fact that the gov has tried various times to retake state parks and NATIONAL parks, to use for their needs, i mean just look at alaska's wlilderness, ppl are so set on getting oil from their, when the oil gained would harldy last very long, and it definetly wouldnt be worth the damage inflicted to the land there. Democrats arent much better when it comes to environmnetal issues, but perhaps we'll see a change with that soon
but most importantly....it doesnt matter about the parties, its so horrible today how ppl are so anti-democrat or anti-republican, its fine to have a preference to one group or another, but now its just being take to extremes, we're practically at each other's throats. What matters first is that we're all Americans, and we should are more about the future for our country than the political parties.

oh yeah, just to clear things up...obviously i cant vote..:D ...so im not registered to a party:D ..and i dont think i plan on ever doing that either, look how the party's have changed from the time they were created, it shocks me how some ppl will go vote 4 someone b/c theyre republican or democrat and not even know anything about the persons background! Thats why ppl are never happy with the results, and then they try and blame it on one person, we'll, you have the right too vote, if you didnt vote (this is of course if ure old eno) you dont deserve to critize our leaders, next time, instead of complaining about, those ppl need to go voice their opinons

one more thing... :D
on the war in Iraq
i dont necessarily agree with the reasons we went to Iraq, but now that we're there, we need to stay the course, look what happened in Vietnam for example, no one really ever one and our troops left, and then the ppl were more upset, thinking, all of that for nothng?etc. And if we leave now, it will just happen all over again and the country will end up in someone elses hands and history will start to repeat itself, all the media shows is the bad things, thats human nature, sick as it seems ppl are drawn to the ghastly or odd, ever seen a car wreck? ppl stop and slow down and try to see, thats a perfect example, anyways, the news doesnt talk about the wonderful things that have happened, only the negative, harldy ever does it mention the government changes and things being done for the ppl in detail, but if there is one little shooting, it will be on the news for hours (im not saying its not important) but i know when i turn on the news it pretty much sickens me, death , death, and more death, almost every day.....ive actually stopped watching the news as much...its all most distorted anyways, with all the biased channels, now one hardly ever comes out and just gives us the facts, and that's what we really need.
Anyways, I really think we need to stay untl we get things sorted out, and im by no way saying war is a good thing.
But are we really meant to stand by and do nothing when those ppl are in that condition? What if it was us next, of course no one ever thinks that, just look at the Holocaust, and ppl dont think thats going on today still, go research Darfur, genocide, in this day in age, and the govermanets are not doing anything, sure, donations etc, but the leaders most likely dont even give it to the ppl just like saddam. We cant stand by why those things happen and crawl into our little holes pretending they arent happening so we can go on with our lifes as normal
sorry
got carried away:o

I dunno about who i will acctualy vote for... probably green party, we need to sort out our environmental issues before we start sorting out other countries! My friends vote lib dem & conservative so they take the piss out of my when i say what my family vote & what i think id vote... but im glad i have the right to vote for whoever i want, in some countries you cant...
We got a new girl at school, shes called camille, shes abit... crazy... shes from the states (from las vagas infact!) and votes republican... one of our teachers made the mistake of insulting george doublya bush and she started ranting... LOL

oh, yeah, by th way, big mistake to dis Bush near most republicans!!!!:D Over all i do like bush, and id probably be one of those ppl to stand up for him, wher ei lived, its right near eglin air force base, so almost everyone at our school has parents in the airforce, so i only know one democrat at my school, and when he said he hated bush one time..man..beat he regretted that:D
