I was in m local Boarders the other day and came across an book that I liked the sound of but had already just purchased a book and couldn't really afford to buy another (plus it was trade paper back so cost even more!).


Any way - it's called "The something Staff" - something being the missing word!

It starts in a modern time and has a guy who works in a bank and finding an old storage box, which he opens and finds a portal to a fantasy style world then with his flat mate they travel to this world and the usual happens i.e. they discover an dangerous enemy and help save the day.

Not mega original but what I read sounded quite enjoyable but I forgot to take down the name of the authors (sure it was pural).

Sorry mate, only remembered it because I had a quick look at it myself in a bookshop at the weekend. Unfortunately it didn't interest me enough to actually buy it :)
