Welcome Eled Idhil na and Dreamer! I hope you enjoy the forum!
And yes, I am most flattered to hear that the Pellinor books distracted you so.
I'm jealous too. I did Latin at school and the only abiding regret of my life is that I was strongly advised to give it up as it was a "dead language". And we were just starting the Aeneid! So I'm a frustrated classics scholar, especially since I disovered the only way to read Sappho is in Greek.

Me and Jaffa learn Latin at our school too, and we are currently doing it as an extra GCSE. She loves it, but I absolutely hate it!

Alison should write a guide on how to speak/write Annarian, or at least the basics. :p ;) :)

Sounds good Eledey, (dont mind the nickname do you)
Of course that would mean giving Alison the task of completing words for the whole of a language, but it would be fun to be able to randomly burst out a comment in conversation that no-one else caould understand. It would be like: "Oh sorry, what I mean to say is-" "What language were you just speaking?" "Oh, dont worry, it's just a realy aincent, dead language called Annarian that only very exclusive people can speak..."
-There I go again, losing myself in my imagination, what was I going to actualy say...
Oh yeah! I feel very deeply for you Eledey, not having read "The Riddle" yet. It's great, I hope it comes to you soon so you can discuss with us how you felt reading it.
Oh yeah, ATTENTION EVERYONE, as Eled Idhil na hasn't read "THE Riddle" yet, we should all be extra careful with our posts and not just use spoiler tabs sparingly, until we're all given the go ahead!
There you go, happy reading, I hope everyone sees this post starts using spoiler tabs for all important references to "The Riddle"
saving the sorld of reading from spoilers, one post at a time

Thank you for everyone's nice welcome :)
Haha, I don't mind Eledey at all soon2b_author ;) It's actually quite creative, and I'd have never thought of that. Typing out Eled Idhil na everytime you refer to me would be a bit of a bother :p
It'd be nice if you all made sure you put spoiler tags on all the things you post, especially regarding The Riddle. However, it's completely selfish of me if I ask you all to do so since this should be a forum where you can freely discuss the books you've read without having to worry about some poor person who still hasn't read The Riddle yet. ;) So, don't mind me. I'll just tread through this forum carefully. You're so sweet though soon2b_author :o
Ah, it would be nice if I could just randomly break into Annarian and watch all the bewildered faces of those around me. Not that they're not bewildered enough around me as it is. :p
