I'm not sure where to post this but here goes:
I saw a book in the store some time ago but I didn't remember the name or the author so I was hoping somebody can help me find it.
The author is Sir...something something, its a fantasy book, there is a river on the bottom of the cover and on the very top a bridge with some soldiers riding horses. THe description was something about a divided kingdom and somebody trying to stop the hatered between the ruling families oh and a king who dies and didn't name who will rule after him....
p.s. no idea if its even a good book :)

Is it The One Kingdom, book one of the Swan's War by Sean Russell?

For a look at the pix, see here...

That was my thought, too, but did a king die in that and not leave an heir? That was my only doubt there. Otherwise, it seemed dead on. Sean Russell is a super writer. I just now--like three minutes ago--finished his Gatherer of Clouds and it was top-notch, as has been all the other Russell I have read. I will pretty soon read the Swans War books.
