I was just wondering what people here thought of the remake of the old Kolchak: The Nightstalker series that's now on ABC on Thursday nights. Personally, I think it's great! I must admit I have a bit of a soft spot for the old Kolchak series, though, but I like this one a lot better!

Enjoy it while it lasts, Zsinj .... its poor ratings so far probably mean it'll struggle for a second series.

Have to say that the original Kolchak: The Night Stalker was sooo much better than this derivative piece of...[censored!] Why call it Kolchak if you're just going to do a new version of the X-Files.

On another board, someone suggested a much better way this series could have been made. Kolchak is still Darren McGavin, but he's disappeared, and another reporter tries to find him, thus getting into all kinds of adventures.

One thing about the old Kolchak was that it was all about the news. Kolchak was *the* quintessential news reporter. With this new guy...well...blah!
