Funny Quote page 125, The Riddle:
"Perhaps you can do that to all the Hulls, and give the Nameless One an army of rabbits"

Touching Quote page 436, The Gift:
Il ver umonor imenval kor, dhor Dhillarearë de niker kor....
Translation: By all we have suffered together, by the sworn bond you owe me as your teacher, and by the deeper bond you owe me as your friend....

The Gift/The Naming: The Elidhu song:

Soft as a river is to the sleeping swan
Cold as the moonlight fainting on a stone
Deep as the deathless moss on the singing tree
I am this, and this and this

Fleet as the unseen start in the dwindeling glade
Old as the hidden root that feeds the world
Hard as the light that blinds the living eye
I am this and this and this

also The Gift/The Naming:

Then she heard, with a sense that was not hearing, a voice that was no human voice, but seemed rather the very tongue of starlight. Elednor, that was her true name. Fire Lily.

Hehe, well, like everyone said, there's about a million good quotes in the books... And I'm missing a lot, I'm sure, but some ones I really like, off the top of my head:

"All joy bubbles on a fountain of doubt" - When Neri and Cadvan and Maerad are together, after the Rite of Renewal, I think? It's just so pretty and true and deep at the same time....

And the phrase "mushrooms simmered in sunshine" - when Maerad was eating mushrooms in Innail - such imagery!

Plus pretty much the whole thing Maerad goes through after *riddle spoiler* Cadvan 'dies', from when she is singing her sadness and thinking about how AWESOME hehe he was, until when she goes into that peaceful sleep and Ardina's eyes "burned in her mind like two lights of haven" or something similar.

And the Lay of Ardina and Ardhor - whole poem is AMAZING. :D

So now I'm gonna devolve into cool similes and metaphors and such, which are really awesome and amazing - I actually have a short list of the most awesome ones! Although I don't remember where I found them anymore...

"When the fountain of his joy spilled over and illuminated everything around him" - This actually was in the Riddle spoiler part I mentioned, but it's cool enough to be mentioned twice...

"The sky hung bright curtains of light" Ahh... Lovely. :D

"...briefly as a bird's wing eclipses the sun..." GENIUS.

And even some phrases.... Like agelessly beautiful, a river of silver, bitter bliss, burnished silver, muddy imagination, cruel sensuality... Wonderful.

Wow. That turned long. ^^;;

i really like that one in the gift that Silvia says

"But trust is a double-edged blade and can invite unwisdom"

I agree Grace. The similies and metaphors in the Pellinor books are amazing! Alison also writes really beautiful poetry!
and Star Lily, Silvia's quote is cool. I think that Cadvan, Sylvia and Saliman have nice quotes.

I really like 'I will not say, do not fear. Fear is just the other face of hope.' It's from one of the poems in the Crow and it really has summed up my life for this year. It's on my facebook quotes and everything.
