If anyone is interested, Elizabeth Bear has posted the cover and some additional info on her 2006 fantasy release Blood and Iron here (http://www.ibdof.com/viewtopic.php?p=1767997). It certainly looks like a big change from her Jenny Casey trilogy.

Didn't care for her previous work but I'd say this has some potential. I'll probably pick it up.
