I am in between getting absorbed into this great story, and taking the book and throwing it across the room!
I am reading George Martins ASOFAI and everytime you get involved in a person he skips to someone else, everytime it starts picking up he skips to someone else... AR! I just had to vent.
Couldn't Ned have had less children???
Great book tho so far.

Yeah, I really didn't like the first book because there are so many characters that you never really see much development on any single character. I couldn't give half a rat's behind about half the characters at the end of the first book. But by the end of the second book, I couldn't put it down! Just stick with it, it takes a little longer to fully develop the characters (especially with all the plot twists Martin puts in there :D ) but it's definitely worth it later! Just keep reading!

Yeah- I practically skimmed the Storm the first read just to get into the meatier stuff... but now that I have some history squared away in my head from the latter books, I've found myself re-reading the first books for the third time- this time for content.
I remember feeling frustrated like you, though. Esp. if GRRM cut one of my favorites off at a good place and I had to suffer some Sansa or Dany chapters
Trust me, your pain will eventually merge with the pleasure... and you'll find it (perhaps?) enjoyable!
