Well you've read more than most new ppl looking for recomendations.
Quite a few older (but not old) series are worthwhile.
Memory Sorrow and Thorn by Williams is sited by GRRMartin as an inspiration.
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Donaldson and The Riddlemaster trilogy by Mckillip are both classics from late 70's / early 80's that are still in print, which is quite an achievment, and shows thier quality.
I'd also highly recommend checking some GGKay - Tigana is my faourite.
I've not read Salvatore, but i guess he's good for Weis & Hickman fans?
McCaffrey i liked a lot as a child. With hindsight i would probably advise reading just the first trilogy (Dragonflight to White Dragon), then deciding from there. Actually, this might be best for you, 'cos back when i really liked Weis n Eddings etc, this was probably my favourite. Fiest's Magician would be a good choice too.

While at the library i skimmed mccaffery and yea i think id ignore that for a while not a great selection here. dragonlance would haved sucked if not for tas but otherwise very predictable but i had nothing else to read oh and i tried the magic of recluce series and am still trying to figure out how i even finished that one. Brooks i forgot to add to the list but now i know why waste of money. I read at work and that was available so i went throught the prequel to the very latest it was something to due i guess. You other recommendations are not at this backwoods library.

I am closing this topic and directing you to our Recommendation Thread (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8580), where you should be able to find some interesting things to read. Here are some links pulled from the thread to consider:

Or you could look into the books of the authors in the Fantasy Forum (Martin, Hobb, Pratchett, Erikson) or the books of the authors whose official forums we host (Wassner, Bakker, Stover or Radthorne.
Just take a look around for a bit and you'll get a pretty good idea of what you may be interested in, based upon other people's posts.
