Does anyone remember this 1980's cartoon

Two of the main characters were Dr. West, an older man with a beard, no it isn't Dr. Qwest, there was also a young boy with blond hair, named Timmy. I know this sounds very similiar to Johnny Quest and Dr. Quest, but it isn't them.
I even had action figures for them, but I can't remember the name of the show.
