You know, my German flatmates and friends tried to teach me some German way back and I just couldn't manage those back of the throat gutteral sounds for proper pronounciation, so we gave up. I'm rather glad of that now. :)

And I apologise for any run on sentences I may have inflicted on you all.
I was toning them down.
And now you see what I was toning them down from.


BTW I've just heard that the longest Austrian word is actually a title, though this might be an Urban Legend:
"Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschafts-Schifffahrtskapitän."
(To be fair, there are two extra 'f's in there now, thanks to the New German Spelling)

haha that was so hilarious!! i printed one out and anomynously gave it to my german teacher...let's see if she says anything at next class.... :rolleyes:
