Well, I once read a book (can't remember author or name) in which wormholes are discovered but one can't travel through them only observe the opposite side. Anyways, these wormholes can eventually be sent back in time and we have a direct means of viewing (spying on) our past. I was just wondering if someone could help with the Author and Title as I'd like to re-read this one.

Could it be "The light of other days" by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter?
