OK, so I don't get reprimanded for going off topic, I'll mention the Crow first. It really is well worth waiting for. I read it quickly, and now I'm longing to read the Singing. Seriously, it was much better than I thought it would be (not criticising Alison's writing, but Hem wasn't one of my favourite characters in the Gift). I almost started crying at a couple of points. Just minor sections, but they almost got me crying, and I didn't even come close to crying in Riddle. That shows how hard-hearted I can be, I suppose.

We break up 2 weeks on Friday, get 7 weeks off and have had waterfights every single day this week. :D water plus our school uniform does NOT bode well for us girls (think cotton when wet...:o )

You won't be disapointed, it's very good! Well, what I've read so far is good... It's very descriptive and, I'd say, the best so far.:D

The whole of Manchester!?
All I know is that you're 5"5-ish and have long hair and female (questionable if my sex is :D).
I know Manchester well, but still lol.

I GOT THE CROW!!!!!
It was the last copy in Waterstones in Manchester and when I saw it I dived at the shelf. I've read upto chapter 11 already as my vati wouldn't let me online last night :D

My favourite part so far is
when Hem has the dream about sitting on the tree with the birds :)

Yay, got it and read it!! :D

I have to admit i found it difficult to start, but that probably because i can relate better to a 16yr old girl than i can to a 12 yr old boy.... but i love Hem he becomes an amazing person. ;)

I get the whole thing that there is lots of information, but it is like reading about a whole new country, new people (who i love) , places (ditto) and creatures(not sure about some of these!!). The descriptions of Turbansk are superb and i have to say that Sur..... ok cant spell it, that the Cur camp was horrid- as was Dagra and the Glandugir Hills, but so believable.

I was surprised about Nyanar- Tree man. I stupidly hadnt considered the possibility that he was related to the Treesong and an Elidhu, he was just sort of there.

I was shocked when it was Zelika's brother that Hem found, i hadnt thought that she hadnt even got into the camp. I was sort of waiting for her death which meant that i was always like "she'll be dead soon" but thats my fault, cant take anything away from Alison, i was naughty and read the amazon review so knew what they were meant to be doing (going to do) for about 3/4 of the book. That review is absolutely appalling. They're not meant to tell you what happens 3/4 of the way through the book!!!

I really liked Soron, Oslar, Saliman, Nyanar... err anyone else oh yes IRC!!!!!!

Hem really developed in the book, he became so much wiser and learned so much. he sounds like a really powerful Bard now. I like the way he thinks and the sutff that Nyanar tells him about time is so interesting.

Irc was so brave and clever and witty. Love the fact that he stole the tuning fork because it is shiny, very useful habit. :D

I cant think of anything else to say at the moment. This is probably enough anyway.

But well done Alison, again a superb and awesome book. Thankyou. :)
