Possible spoilers here...

I've read in several posts here that some of you feel Loras is gay. What on earth did I miss? I never picked up on that? Explain your theories facts (I've read all the books that have been released thus far)

Thanks in advance!!

I am the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, you arrogant pup. Your commander, so long as you wear that white cloak. Now sheathe your bloody sword, or I'll take it from you and shove it up some place even Renly never found.

The theory started as just that, I guess - based on the whole 'Knight of Flowers' thing, and Renly's 'Rainbow Guard', as well as the fact that the books kept making mention of how close Renly and Loras were. The quote above is one of the more explicit examples, but it is implied in the series that many of the people in Westeros also suspect Renly and Loras of being in a gay relationship.
The theory became quite popular, people kept finding little hints and things in the books, and then, finally, Martin confirmed it:
[Note: This report draws from two separate events at the convention: a reception for GRRM as Guest of Honor on the 6th and a Q&A on the 7th.]

And speaking of Renly and Loras...

George specifically stated "Yes, I did intend those characters to be gay." Not that we didn't already know that of course, but I don't believe it's ever been actually confirmed before.

There is already a thread devoted to this topic, HERE (http://sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6940&highlight=loras+tyrell), which I started 2 years ago. I never picked up on it until I re-read the series, but it's actually quite obvious in fact.

POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR END OF A FEAST FOR CROWS.

so what about him and his sister in a Feast For Crows? The Blue Bard says that he "visits" her bedchamber.

The Blue Bard is under duress, Maester Pycelle needed to regain favour, Taena Merryweather wanted influence, Kettleblack was bribed.... there are so many little things. Cersei builds this little scenario, this set up, and convinces herself that she's uncovering the truth, because she wants to think Margaery is no better than herself.

FEAST FOR CROWS SPOILERS

POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR END OF A FEAST FOR CROWS.

so what about him and his sister in a Feast For Crows? The Blue Bard says that he "visits" her bedchamber.

You know... I might be stupid but I thought that that was sort of like... what they wanted him to say. They beat on the blue bard for so long I took it for:
What did you see?
Nothing!
*whack*
What did you see?
Nothing!
*whack*
Did you see Loras visiting his sister a lot *wink wink*
Ahh! Yes I did stop beating me!

I don't really think that Loras and Margery are another Jaime/Cercei (sp?).

But quickly back to him being gay; it didn't occur to me on the first read either.

I have wondered what will happen to Loras if he survives though. How badly burned was he in Crows? Pretty bad right? I read Crows and thought wow, how ironic, he's going to be the next Sandor Clegane with all those burn scars. I'd like to see what happens to him now that he's not so pretty anymore (and I'd like to see him survive most of all).
